Many hotel common areas, including reception, common room, bar, wine cellar and toilettes have been finely refurbished. The extensive work have been carried out paying particular attention to the historic style of the building with recalls to the early XX century Decò style. Thanks to the bar relocation on the lakeside part of the main building, new common areas have been created both inside and outside the building. The reception now plays a more important role compared to the back office, enabling a closer and easier contact with the guests and control over arrivals.materials from the hinterland have been used for the refurbishments.
In particular the new whole 160 sq. area has been paved using two types of marble: classic Botticino with inset of Rosso Tagliaboschi. Both these types of marble come from the marble pits in the surrounding mountains which enjoy an international reputation for their quality. The Botticino area, a little municipality part of Brescia Province, has an ancient history for marble-mining. In fact, already since the Roman era, marble-mining was the main economic activity for that area as it is testified by the archaeological findings dating back to I sec b.C.
Other improvements include: Air-conditioning system extended to the dining room and common areas. All rooms of the Hotel Monte Baldo and of the dependence Villa Acquarone are now equipped with geothermal air conditioning systems. This system using cold water from the lake for air conditioning, enables greater efficiency, energy saving and the air is less dry compared to the common air conditioning systems.All rooms of the Hotel Monte Baldo and of the annexed Villa Acquarone have been equipped with a new air conditioning thanks to an environmentally friendly geothermal system.
